Biography

Virginia has been working in the payment industry for 14 years, most of them in EBA Clearing, the leading Pan-European ACH for the processing of high value (EURO1), bulk (STEP2) and instant payments (RT1). In her role as Expert of SEPA Services, she has been an active member in many key projects in the Pan-European Payment Industry: the launch of SEPA Card Clearing Service and of the RT1 System; the T2 Consolidation; the ISO20022 version migration. Recently she also joined the European Payments Council (EPC) as Active Observer Member of the Scheme Evolution and Maintenance Standards Task Force (SEMSTF) and of the Instant Payment Plus (IP+) initiative promoted by the Bank for International Settlement representing EBA Clearing.
