TOMMASO VESPIGNANI

Biography

Tommaso Vespignani is the current Operations Vice President, part of the Product and Operation division, for Bancomat S.p.A.. His department handles also Customer Services and fraud prevention/detection. His career started as a Lawyer in Italy with competences expressed in payments world. Then he started an experience in Consorzio Bancomat, the future Bancomat S.p.A., the entity that runs Italian domestic scheme Rulebook. In Consorzio Tommaso was working for the Compliance and Audit team, reporting to the compliance Office. In this role He was attending the audit Inspections and analysing the impact of new Regulation issuance. Then, rapidly growing, he was called in ICCREA, one of the biggest Bank in Italy, and was appointed Head for Card payment services controls. His competences included management of AML , privacy , and other regulations controls, together with the Bank impact analysis raising from new laws from Italian and European regulators in payment sector. His hobbies are: padel, sailing, ski.
