STEFANO STOPPANI

Biography

Stefano M. Stoppani is Visa's Country Manager for Italy. With over 20 years of experience in financial services, credit information systems and analytics, business development and consulting, Stoppani has held roles of increasing responsibility at an international level, leading him to manage complex business and commercial transformations. He began his career at Ford Motor Company Italy, before joining Experian as Business Development Director Italy. He was then appointed Advisor to the International Finance Corporation (IFC). In 2008, he joined the CRIF Group where he held the positions of Country Manager Mexico and Latin America and, subsequently, Region Director for India and GCC. In 2017, he was appointed CEO of the Creditinfo Group. A graduate in Political Science from the University of Bologna, Stoppani holds a Master of Science in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and an Executive MBA from Bologna University Business School.
