PAOLO BERNARDINI

Biography

Paolo Maria Bernardini graduated in Electronic Engineering from the Politecnico di Torino in 1989. He holds a Master's degree in Cybersecurity from LUISS and a Master in Management from SDA Bocconi. Together with ITIGROUP Srl, he co-founded IRETH Srl, Italy's leading provider of solutions for Strong Customer Authentication and IT Anti-Fraud. Since 2005, he has served as CEO and General Manager of IRETH Srl, leading its start- up and corporate development, and transforming it into an innovative company and global industry leader. Since 2021, he has also been Strategy Director at Omniwire Inc., a U.S. high-tech company specializing in blockchain and core banking solutions. In 2022, he established IRETH Fintech, a business unit focused on developing neobanking solutions. He currently oversees the development of Merx800, the first B2B2C neobanking platform built on AI and blockchain technology, enabling companies to deliver payment and microcredit financial services - effectively becoming advanced neobank providers. He has also lectured on Electric and Hybrid Traction at the Politecnico di Milano. Until 2004, he held various positions of increasing responsibility in major companies such as SIPAL, INTESIS, FINMATICA, and EUTRONSEC SpA - ALADDIN, gaining deep expertise in technology and market dynamics across ICT security, finance, and e- government sectors.
