MASSIMO DORIA

Biography

Born in Naples in 165, in 1988 he graduated in Law and in 1991 started working for the Bank of Italy in 1991. In 228 he became Head of the Retail Payment Instruments and Services Division. In 2017 was nominated Deputy Head of the Institutional Relations Directorate, and in 2020 he was nominated Head of the Retail Payment Instruments and Services Directorate, where he worked on the oversight on retail payments and the coordination of Fintech issues. In December 2022 he was appointed Head of the Bank of Italy's Innovation Hub and was promoted Deputy Head of the Directorate General for Currency Circulation and Retail Payments. In June 2025 he was nominated Head of the Directorate General for Human Resources, Information and Banknote Production and has the role of Secretary General of the Bank of Italy.
