
Marco Romanelli specializes in the laws and regulations of banks, financial intermediaries, payment institutions and electronic money institutions, with a special focus on technological innovations applied to banking and financial products and services, as well as in litigation in the same matters. He deals with authorization procedures before the Bank of Italy and/or the ECB relating to the establishment of new intermediaries and complex and innovative extraordinary transactions; he advises corporate bodies and top management with particular reference to the definition of governance and organizational systems and the drafting of contracts for new products Previously, he was head of the Financial Intermediaries Regulations department of an Italian leading law firm, where he gained valuable experience handling the regulatory aspects of complex extraordinary transactions.
