GUERINO ARDIZZI

Biography

Guerino Ardizzi is Director in the Bank of Italy (Retail Payment Instruments and Services Directorate, Deputy Head of the Analysis and Database Division). He is has been member of the Italian Presidency Team in the Working Party of the European Council on the last “legislative package” in the field of the EU payments framework (PSD2 and Interchange Fee Regulation). Member of the Payment System Oversight Working Group at the ECB and of the IFR Expert Group at the European Commission. He follows the industrial organization and payment habits issues related to the retail payments industry. He has been working at the European Commission Antitrust Unit for payment systems as a national expert. PhD in economics at the University of Rome "La Sapienza", where currently he is visiting lecturer, and author of several publications relating to the payment sistems.
