GIORGIO FERRERO

Biography

Since 2023, Giorgio Ferrero has been the Executive Director of PRETA SAS, a company where he served as CEO from 2013. PRETA SAS was founded in 2013 to develop competitive market solutions for digital and identity services and to act as the Solution Manager for MyBank. Giorgio Ferrero worked at Intesa Sanpaolo in the field of payment innovation and Transaction Banking. He was appointed EBA CLEARING's Chairman of the Board from May 2004 to May 2013. Giorgio Ferrero was also a member of the Board of Directors of Swift, Director of the IBOS Association Limited, and a promoter of innovation in the payment card industry. He has participated to several relevant bodies and/or committees at national and international level, such as the European Payments Council, the Italian Committee for Payment and Settlement Services, Contact Group on Euro Payments Strategy at European Central Bank/ESCB, for the definition of best practices, business rules and new payment schemes.
