DAVID SABATINI

Biography

He has extensive experience in financial and capital markets, developed across the public and private sectors. In his current role as Head of Capital Markets at ABI, he leads strategic initiatives and regulatory dossiers at both the EU and national levels, with a focus on the impact on banks and investment firms. His expertise spans investment services and products, primary equity and debt markets, secondary markets, asset management and post-trading, from both regulatory and operational perspectives. He has previously worked at the Italian Securities and Exchange Commission (CONSOB), where he gained significant experience in the regulation and supervision of financial markets. He represents ABI in several institutional and advisory bodies, including the European Banking Federation (EBF), where he serves as Chairman of the Primary Market EG and as a member of the Strategy Group for the SIU. He is also a member of the IPSC CWG of ESMA and of the Advisory Committee of Borsa Italiana.
