Biography

Daniele Astarita is a Senior Principal Solution Consultant at ACI Worldwide, with extensive experience in payments technology and the transformation of banking and payment infrastructures. Daniele's work focuses on the evolution of payment ecosystems, from real-time and cross-border payments to the emerging models shaping the future of money, including tokenized commercial bank deposits, stablecoins, central bank digital currencies and distributed-ledger-based settlement. Daniele works with banks and financial institutions on payment modernization and next-generation architectures, exploring how established payment infrastructures can evolve and interoperate with new forms of digital money. His recent areas of focus include the digital euro, tokenized deposits, stablecoins, Swift's evolving role in digital-asset settlement, and the convergence between traditional payment rails and tokenized networks. At ACI Worldwide, he brings together a strong understanding of payment processing with an increasingly important question for the industry: how banks can embrace digital assets while preserving the interoperability, control and resilience required of regulated payment infrastructures.
