Biography

Clemente de Fonseca began his professional experience at KPMG, working in the financial and insurance services sector. With the evolution of regulatory landscape in the late 90s, he continued his journey in internal control areas focusing on asset management and commercial bank's distribution models (Capitalia/Unicredit Group). In 2008 he joined BancoPosta, where he progressively held roles of responsibility in second and third-level control functions (audit and compliance) working continuously in the payment services sector since 2018 after the creation of PostePay S.p.A. where he contributed to the development of governance, compliance and risk management processes. He is currently head of Compliance at PostePay, within the Risk Management and Compliance department, and ESG representative for the IMEL, as part of the sustainability framework adopted by Poste Italiane Group. During his career, he has collaborated with industry associations like Assogestioni, AMF Italia, and AICOM sharing his expertise in internal controls and financial governance.
