ALESSANDRO IMPELLIZZERI

Biography

After graduating with honors in ICT Engineering, Alessandro has developed solid expertise in the digital payments sector. He is currently part of the Payments Development team at BFF Bank, where he leads commercial and development initiatives in transaction services, with a strong focus on proposing innovative solutions tailored to client requirements. Previously, he coordinated the Standards and Technical Pre-Sales units at CBI, with responsibilities including service design and engineering, definition of the evolutionary roadmap of the offering, and client support in the implementation of new initiatives. He also contributed to PSD2 and IPR compliance within the Italian financial ecosystem. Alessandro is an active member of the European Payments Council (EPC), where he represents the Italian community in the Verification of Payee (VOP) working groups, contributing to the definition of the scheme rulebook and the specifications for compliance services. He participates in the Berlin Group, within the openFinance TF, focusing on the evolution of Open Finance and developments related to the Digital Euro. He has contributed to several other national and international working groups, including EPC (SPAA, RTP), EBA (PSD2), ISO (Payments), ABI (SEPA, PSD2), Bank of Italy (CPI), and UNINFO (Financial Services), where he also served as a Board Member.
