
Alessandro Giovannini is Adviser to the Digital euro project's director at the European Central Bank, a role he has held since 2023. Before that, he led the ECB team responsible for relations with the European Parliament, national parliaments and other policymakers, including on matters related to the digital euro project. He joined the ECB in 2015 after working as a researcher on European political economy at several European and international organisations, including the Centre for European Policy Studies in Brussels, the Istituto Affari Internazionali in Rome, and the Observatoire Français des Conjonctures Économiques in Paris. Alessandro holds master's degrees in Economics from the Paris School of International Affairs (Sciences Po) and in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics.
