MyBank is a pan-European, scheme-based pay-by-bank payment solution that enables individuals, businesses and Public Administrations to make and receive online payments directly from their bank accounts through their usual online banking environment, without additional registration or the sharing of sensitive data with third parties. Italy has been the market driving MyBank’s adoption over the past decade. MyBank is already available to payers in eleven countries and continues to expand its presence across Europe, with the aim of becoming a truly pan-European solution. MyBank is open to authorised payment service providers (PSPs) within the SEPA area, including banks and payment institutions. PSPs wishing to offer MyBank to their customers can benefit from a streamlined and cost-effective integration model through the MyBank Gateway and a dedicated set of APIs. With more than 450 participating banks and PSPs and an annual transaction volume of €13 billion, MyBank makes collection processes more efficient through secure and irrevocable payments, full transparency and 100% reconciliation. On the acquiring side, MyBank is supported by banks and established PSPs such as PPRO, NEXI, Mollie, Paysafe, HiPay, MultiSafepay, Nuvei and Payplug, ensuring broad merchant coverage across Europe. At checkout, users select MyBank, choose their bank and authorise a pre-filled SEPA credit transfer within their own online banking environment. Both the payer and the beneficiary receive real-time confirmation of the payment. The solution is owned and operated by PRETA, a wholly owned subsidiary of EBA CLEARING, a provider of pan-European payment infrastructures.
