Ana Belén Alonso Hernández is a senior executive with over two decades of experience shaping global strategy, driving innovation, and leading large-scale transformation within the financial sector. As Director of Business Strategy and Platforms at Global Cards in Banco Santander, she defines and executes the strategic roadmap for global payments and cards, fostering innovation, interoperability, and the evolution of digital platforms across markets. Throughout her career at Banco Santander, Ana Belén has held key leadership roles across strategy, digital transformation, and technology, connecting diverse business areas to deliver impactful, customer-centric solutions. She has led global programs on digital payments, bridging business strategy with technological execution to accelerate value creation across the organization. Previously, as Director of Enterprises Digital Innovation at Santander Spain, she spearheaded groundbreaking initiatives, blending open banking, blockchain, and digital ecosystems to empower SMEs. Earlier roles at Indra and Arthur Andersen Business Consulting, strengthened her expertise in technology, process transformation, and innovation management. Ana Belén holds a degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the Universidad de Valladolid and completed the W50 Program at UCLA Anderson School of Management, focused on leadership development for senior women executives.
